    Hi all,

How the heck do I jack up my 2013 335i? I know there are the four jack pads on the pinch weld area, but where is a safe place to centrally lift up so I can put jack stands on the adapters? Or, do you jack up on adapters and put stands somewhere else? Ideally I would like to have both front in air at once, and then both rear (only two jackstands right now) but I cannot for the life of me find any documentation on where a front and rear (safe) jack point is.

    Thank you.

This might be of some help -

1-4 of these might be useful:

Previous model, perhaps useful for reference:

It looks to me like where the number "2" is (though part #2 is a plug) is the most-reinforced section of the axle carrier that looks most like the front or rear subframe cross-member on earlier BMW's. If that's a boxed-in cross-beam as it looks, that presumably would work as a central front jacking point. As for jack placement, if there are underfloor frame rails like earlier BMW's, that should work, but they might be completely covered with underbody panels. The outboard ends of the axle support main cross-beam might offer adequate support for jack stands, probably would want to avoid placing jacks on the tabs that are locating suspension pieces, such as part #10.

A pic in the Pelican link above shows an access point to the middle of the front axle carrier on the prior generation 3-series, I don't know if F30 might be the same, but there may be some consistency from era-to-era, so perhaps so - not knowing, you might also find everything's covered over by underbody panels.

Looking at the rear axle carrier -

You can probably just jack on the diff for a central rear jacking point. Otherwise, the middle of the square cross-beam, assuming access isn't blocked by the diff. For an outboard jacking point, where 5-3-7 is might work, that's analagous to the rear subframe bushing mounting point on an E30. Not the most ideal jacking point - presumably using something like the Burger adapter on the factory point would be more ideal for jacking up one side of the front or rear. If you could get jacks on the the outboard sides of the box-beam, presumably that should be stable and take the weight of the car.

Full disclaimer, have never jacked up an F30 since I don't have one, closest for me is E92, and that with a 4-point floor lift - making suggestions based on experience with other cars, and most of that being much older models - so, those are suggestions, but no guarantees, just fyi.
