How does High Speed Synchronization (speed delimiter) code 840 actually work ?

    Hi group,

I'm running a 2011 335ix with sport package, oil cooler, 18" wheels, and code 840 speed delimiter.

Does anyone know exactly how the speed delimiter works ? I know it does allow the speed to go past the "limited" 130 mph or so, supposedly up to 150 ? I'm curious as to how it does this ?

Anyone had the opportunity to push there 335 with sport package past 130 to see what the effect of the "high speed synchronization" feature actually does ? Any source explaining the technology ?

    Thanks,

    Tony

Nothing is being synchronized. It is just the description for the higher speed rating.
