Hi everyone, I'm having a problem I hoping someone can help me with.

My Dad has a 1987 325i Convertible with a dead battery and the hood won't open. I

'm trying to give him advise on how to get this fixed (I'm currently overseas at work). Valuable convertible weather is being wasted!

Has anyone had a similar problem to this? Is there a way to trip the hood latch through the grill (or other area)?

    Any insight would be appreciated.

Just to the right of the

Just to the right of the radiator (near the top of the radiator support) behind the grill you will see about a half inch diameter opening with slot. Stick a long screwdriver in the slot and twist clockwise to open the hood.

    Thanks!

John, Thanks for the way to open the hood. I'll pass this along to my Dad.
