Transmission Fluid

I am ordering transmission fluid for my 86 325es (5 speed) online with Redline and I don't know which type to get. Some posts say to use Redline MTL 70W80 GL-4 Gear Oil, some say Redline D4 ATF. Which is it? Thanks

I think either one is good, I've heard people say that the shifts feel better with MTL but that might just be in their heads

I don't know offhand, would have to look it up; if you're gonna be diy-ing a lot on your car, really worthwhile to get a E30 Bentley manual, it covers that type of stuff- I'll see if I can check that spec later, tho.
