I just signed up for BMW CCA and being and avid amatuer detailer thought I would share a bit. Even though I almost always do my own cars, I was curious to see what a pro could do. This was the first full detail on my car since I purchased it:

I wanted to bring some life back into my daughters J30 so after a thorough mechanical going over, time to make it look good again, this is my work:

I used to spend many a week end detailing my Cobra. Sold in summer of '09 for Daughters College tuition. I will be shopping for another toy once the kids are out of college! Page three is my car but you can browse the other pages. Seems to me almost all the pics where taken by me and some in national publications.

Look forward to catching up with BMW CCA and its members!

Great job on the J30! That's a night and day difference. Too bad about selling the Cobra but it was for a good cause.

That 740i is beautiful, the detail job on it was spectacular. It looks like a brand new car now. I may have to do the same for my car soon :)

One day my detailing skills will be this good! Or is it my detailing enthusiasm that is to blame?

Thanks! I remember many years ago 'detailing' my Grandparents car as a child. Love of automobiles is a trait that we are born with.

    Oh. My. God.

So I suppose the can of WD-40 I bought to detail the roadster is probably not appropriate, is it?

LOL. Well, WD-40 does have its uses! I uses to use it on raw brushed aluminum panels on race cars (and the Cobra) with a scotch bright pad. It also works if you spray it on your fishing lures!
