I have a 2006 550. I've been using the original 2006 disc and decided to buy the 2011 update. However, the nav system won't recognize the new disc. Anybody know what I need to do?
Right off hand, I would say you don't have the correct DVD for your system. Different BMW nav systems use different DVD's... When I purchased my 2007 Z4 Coupe, I had the same issue. In my case, the car shipped with the incorrect DVD. I got the correct one from the dealer, and it worked like a charm. But, that's just a guess on my part. If your e60 of that year is like the e90's, it could be the wrong DVD's for the wiring bus in your car. Some had wires and some were fiber optic.
