Man, I already missed the opportunity for a 2 digit number. Looks like everyone wants to go this year
I should have registered on a daily basis before they realized it was cheaper than the M2 package. They quickly raised the daily fees by $10 each.
Just out of curiosity, do we have any idea of what percenatge of people that sign up for the M1 package actually participate in the car control school? I have a hunch it's a small percenatge. Why not leave the car control school out and drop the price a little for all those that don't participate (which I'm guessing is a larger percentage than those that DO participate)? Just food for thought...
Just to double check- what is the bare minimum age someone can participate? (with parental consent) I have a MD learner's permit and won't be provisional legal until January of next year. I am dying to go to Ofest this year! Hopefully this wasn't a completely stupid question- Thanks!
Autocross Minimum age for drivers in BMW CCA autocross is 16. Participants under age 18 must have minor consent waivers signed by both of their parents or legal guardians. Participants and workers under age 18 must have minor consent waivers signed by either parents or guardians. Gymkhana I don't see any restrictions but if there is driving involved I would say it will follow the same rules as an autocross.
Ahhh, that's what I figured. I will check it out then- I turn 16 in July so it should be okay. So your state license doesn't apply? Technically according to MD laws (I will still be on a learner's) so I would need to have a 'co-pilot' however, I'm not sure about AL... Thanks again though! -S
octoberfest concours Can a BMWCCA member just enter the Concours ($25) without paying for a package registration fee? The only day passes I see are for M, W,Th,F --- none for Tuesday, the day of the Concours.
Correct. If you want to enter the Concours, it's $25.00. There is no day pass for Tuesday and you don't need a package. There is no fee to spectate or display.
