Just recently bought a certified 2007, 328xi. Everything is fine, but when I went to plug in my radar detector, it doesn't work in either port (engine was running). Tried the cigarette lighter and it doesn't work. Is there a fuse that controls these ports only? Any other issue that might affect them?

    Thanks

Fuse box is behind glove box, diagram on plastic insert on back of box panel that you remove with two twisties. I think it's A10 or A7, something like that. Use the fuse puller that's in the center of the box - it's a 10 amp, I remember that.

Just a thought; does you power connector for your radar detector fused? If so, you might check that too.

Had a similar thing happen and it ended up being the actual receptacle where the lighter goes in.
