After more than two trouble-free months, a new (although minor) electrical gremlin: My driver's seat adjustment and steering wheel adjustment suddenly stopped working. The fuses in the glove compartment are good, and the passenger's seat adjustment still works.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I'd guess it's the seat switch as the switch ties in a memory feature for the steering wheel. Can you test for power out of the switch?

Sorry for taking so long to follow up on this. It turned out the seat switch plastic housing was cracked where the connector plugs in. I repaired it with black potting epoxy and bought a new plastic side cover for the driver's seat.

I did a write-up about this procedure on bimmerforums. You can search for it if you need to do the same repair.
