    Model Year Changes

It's easy for the OEMs to make model year changes. Not so easy for aftermarket suppliers to get the latest data, crosscheck it and place into their lookup routines.

My guess is that there's no difference in oil spec for this engine from 2010 to 2011.

You are probably correct; however, it's been almost 8 months since the 2011 diesel came out, You'd think that would be enough time for the AMSOIL people to change their info. In any case, it's really a mute point since I went ahead and bought the "official" BMW Diesel Motor Oil from ECS for 50 cents less than AMSOIL discount price.

Outstanding. Just for my own education, what kind of change interval are you planning? Will you be doing any Used Oil Analysis?
