As a resident of the area, here are a few cool / fun places to visit in the are that might not be on your radar screen:

Wisconsin Auto Museum - Hartford Wisconsin
    http://wisconsinautomuseum.com/

Blazing hot outside? Need some relief? Like cars? Stop by this nice museum tuck in little town of Hartford Wisconsin. I was here just the other day. Cool, quiet and dark inside (the cars are well lit) this is a great place to escape the heat of the day. The cars are equally impressive to look at while period music softly plays over the speakers. If the cars aren't enough to look at, check out the impressive 250 ton steam locomotive on the second floor.

    Holy Hill

Spectacular Basilica with equally spectacular views. Climb the tower's 178 steps for a view you won't forget (if you have vertigo, don't do this). Stop at the cafe for a bite to eat. HINT: The pies are VERY good.

    PIZZA: Zaffiro's Pizza in Milwaukee
    http://www.zaffirospizza.com

Are you a pizza junkie? Will you travel a stupid amount of miles just to try great pizza? I feel your pain. So try Zaffiro's Pizza in Milwaukee if you're in the area. Hard to find (use GPS) and impossible parking but the pizza really is the best with ultra thin crust (think Saltine crackers thickness). Fun little spot with a bartender who has a Pompador and wears gold chains. A true Milwaukee classic!

How's the New Glarus brew availability around RA?
I was planning on stopping at the Walmart Uber Center in Plymouth to see what they had.
(Last tasting was about ten years ago when I visited their brewery)

THAT I don't know but New Glarus seems to have a large following all around Wisconsin. I would not be suprised to find their beer in well stocked liquor stores in the Elkhart Lake / Plymouth area.

There's a great brewpub in Chilton, not far from Elkhart. Try it, you'll like it.

    Oh My God!

Okay, we made it to Wisconsin. . .

    . . . home of CHEESE CURDS!

I've been to a Wisconsin Fish Boil, but this is ridiculous!

Curds are a year-round thing. Don't let 'em sell you any more than two days old or they won't squeak when you bite 'em.
