No, sorry. It's really for the wife and although she knows how to drive a stick (being raised in the UK), she wouldn't be too keen on having one for everyday. It won't, OTOH, prevent her from driving like a BOOH as usual.
BTW, on a CPO X3 what manuals should I expect to get with the car? They "misplaced" the manuals and all but one key and I've been told they were ordered. With my Z4 I have all the original stuff; 2 CDs (Configurator & Features), Owner's Manual, Radio Manual, BMW Center Directory, Caring, Technology, Service & Warranty along with the window sticker. I don't know if I will actually get all that from the dealer, but should there be a separate manual for operation of the Nav system as well? Does BMW offer a facsimile of the window sticker anywhere on their web site? Thanks anyone and everyone for any info.
Road Trip Picked up the X3 on Wednesday and left on Sunday for a round robin trip from Williamsburg, VA to Durham, NC for two nights at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Resort and then out to Duck, NC on the OBX for three nights at the Sanderling Inn. All-in-all about 550 miles not including side trips. I really, really enjoyed driving this vehicle, more so than any other car I've owned bar the sports cars and possibly the Milano. It's quiet, it's comfortable and it handles extremely well. The nav took a little bit of getting used to and as mentioned on another thread it is not as advanced as the Honda/Acura, but then again I thought our Accord's nav was too complicated and fussy. Sure it does more, but we never used the added features anyway. The missing manuals and key(s) were waiting for us when we arrived home, so the dealer (Richmond BMW) delivered on their promise to provide them along with the standard Type A1A binder. Must figure out how to program the new key or make an appointment with the dealer to do so. My wife loves her new X3, as do I. I washed the "SAV" as soon as we got home yesterday and spent all this morning cleaning and waxing the front wheels. The rears will have to wait until tomorrow, but now I have to go vacuum the interior. I feel I'm neglecting the Zed.
Looks like the time for getting our spouses X3s. Picked one up for my wife 2 weeks ago -- also a 2007 CPO, Premium, Winter packages, xenons, parking assist and heated steering wheel. She loves it and I am happy as she originally suggested a <gulp> Forester! No pics yet.
Nice... Your garage looks like mine now...Z4 + X3 (that's got to be some advanced math formula for wormholes or something)!! My wife loves her X3...just the right size. Freude am Fahren (beides)...
