I've read in a few instructions that to remove the SMG shift nob you just lift straight up. I've tried that and it doesn't budge. Am I just not trying hard enough? Is there a method besides using your hands? Thanks for any advice!

If it is anything like the manual you need to pull pretty hard. BE CAREFUL though. I have smacked myself in the face before when removing mine.

I smashed my thumb into the headliner when I removed my standard trans. shift knob

Thanks for the advice.....I decided to give it my all and got it off. I'm sure the bruise on my face will go away soon.:D
