Looking for advice on a rim diameter for a set of winter rims/tires for my 2008 550i with sp. Will 17" rims fit? If so, the 17" rims offer a narrower tire. The 18" rims pretty much lock me into 40 series snow tire. Seems too wide for me. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Best, J
550i Snow Tires I installed 17" rims with Michelin Alpins for my winter driving and love them. Had my first trial last weekend with snow-covered hills in our neighborhood (3") without even seeing the traction control light come on. I went with a one size narrower tire vs. my stock 18" to get a better bite.
