I have an '08 E85M w/factory nav and the i-Pod adapter (the adapter is hard-wired and charges the i-Pod) and am unable to figure out how to select the playlists on the i-Pod. (classic w/video capability). The adapter was installed when I purchased the car and, if course, no one at the dealer has any idea where the instructions are or how to work this. Any ideas?
Is the iPod adapter OEM or aftermarket and if it is aftermarket what brand is it? If it is OEM, then you should be able to get the manual from the dealer or find it on the web.
Thanks! Found the manual on the web (not sure what the dealer did with the one that came with the adapter) and was able to solve the problem. (had to do with naming conventions on the playlists - for example, my "Rock" playlist had to be renamed "BMW1 - Rock" in order for it to be recognized by the sound system.
