Castrol has a new ad which advises us to think with our dipsticks. Their recent TV ad shows their "spokesperson" leg whipping an ill-informed car owner with a dipstick. BMW recommends Castrol. New BMW's do not have dipsticks. Will the Castrol "spokesperson" be paying the BMW board a visit soon?
"Think with your electronic oil level monitoring system Jimmy" as he smashes a check control module over the guy's butt just wouldn't be as funny.
Ahhh....but what if it was done with a German accent? As in: "Denken Sie mit Ihrer elektronischen Schmierolstand-Ãœberwachungsanlage Jimmy"
But the Castrol "spokesperson" is Scottish. By the way, I have not seen Castrol's TV ad recently. I wonder if people complained?
I saw it again last night during an episode of "American Chopper". It cracks me up everything I see it.
