I have a 99 Z3 coupe and was curious if anyone knows the production quantities of the coupes in the 96-02 time frame?

According to my book, "The Complete Book of BMW" by Tony Lewin, the "Coupes" did not go into production unitl 1997 when four were produced. Are you wanting figures for all Z3's? The total Coupes produced was: 1997 - 4, 1998 - 160, 1999 - 3455 (1st 2.0 introduced), 2000 - 4665, 2001 - 2549, and 2002 - 691. I did not include M Coupes in those number, if you need or want that let me know. Grand total = 11524.

    Z3 Coupe Production

:) Hey thanks! What I was trying to find out, and I believe you have answered me, is how many of my car were built. It is a 1999 Z3 coupe (boston green metallic) and someone told me they only made 600 for them that year for sale in the US. I was trying to get some kind of confirmation or denial of the truth to that. Do you have any idea of the split between what the production quantities that were US/non-US?

The book looks interesting - I'll have to check it out.

Wow...I'm pretty sure there were 250K roadies that were made and only 11524 coupes. Even less M coupes I would guess.
