I just bought a 2001 330I from Florida and made the mistake of not having a mechanic look at it before I bought it. After getting it home I realized that it has a small oil leak which appears to be the oil pan gasket. Is it common to need the oil pan gasket replaced with only 73xxx on it? Any suggestions? Rich
Sorry to hear that. But if truly is just an oil pan seal leak, that is not very serious. Just have the seal replaced at your next oil change. Just keep an eye on the oil level if it is a bad leak. Check here for an independent BMW mechanic in your area. http://www.bimrs.org/
