BMW is the Marque of the Year for the 2009 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. As part of the Schenley Park weekend on July 18 and 19, the PVGP will host a vintage BMW race group. The group will feature 30-35 cars consisting mainly of 2002s. Other BMW race cars of similar vintage including e26s, e21s, e9s and all older cars will also be considered. The race group will likely feature cars similar to those that ran in the Park in 1998. The race director and event organizers have broad discretion in accepting cars for this exhibition group.

As part of the PVGP, the Allegheny Chapter is organizing a separate club race to be held July 11 and 12 as part of the Historic Races at BeaveRun. Separate registration will be held for each event.

If you have a 2002 or other vintage BMW racecar and would like to race in Schenley Park, please contact us.

This is just a note to let everyone know that registration is open for all race groups for the Allegheny Chapter's 2009 PVGP Marque of the Year Celebration.

The Club Race at BeaveRun (July 10-12) has been deemed a premier event on the Club Racing calendar. Qualifying vintage BMWs may also be considered for the vintage classes at BeaveRun.

We are happy to report that registration forms for the Schenley Park Exhibition Race (July 17-19) are now posted on the PVGP website. Questions regarding eligibility may be directed to jjtaylor4@comcast.net

We hope to have a great turnout in July!
