Our 1996 BMW 318ti with sport package was hit from behind and spun into the barriers on April 3. We owned it from new (Euro delivery) and kept it very well maintained. We are having trouble getting a fair valuation from our insurance company. Does someone in the club or otherwise have experience in these matters and can give us some advice?

    Thanks,

Perhaps call the national office & ask if the club ombudsman might be a possibility? Offhand I'd guess it's a bit of an uphill challenge to substantiate, perhaps if anything similar's been sold on bring-a-trailer that could be used, also listings on autotrader.com or their 'classics' website (can't remember that url offhand), also search sold listings on ebay motors, or other car selling sites. Unfortunately as far as standard insurance goes and the typical market, condition above & beyond nada or KBB very-good/excellent probably is only of much importance to enthusiasts. Hope you all weren't hurt, sorry you all lost your long-time E36/5 though!
