Anyone know about what needs to be done to correct top glove box door outside trim separating from door frame. I understand this is common. How do you remove top door and can it be reglued? Vehicle is out of warantee with less than 30,000 miles
Assuming you are handy: Tools you need are TORX head driver kit, plastic TRIM Pry tools, TRIGGER clamps with rubber grips and 2 part EPOXY. you can try to do it in place but this could be harder and messy. best to remove and repair on a bench. 2 Part Epoxy and Little Trigger Clamps are the only way I know to repair and expect it to stick long term. Surf YOUTUBE for X5 e70 glovebox/dash for removal tips. I have removed the top glove clamshell door on e70 it has an elaborate array of fasteners. I had 911 with a ton of mahogany veneer that cracks and delams...Fl sun ensured it was a constant maintenance opportunity! Be patient, implement a cuss jar too !
