My trunk lid switch inside the car located in driver footwell, the Trunk lid switch and my left license plate bulb, along with a dash message that says I have a bulb out. All have stopped working. I open the trunk area by the battery and pulled out the harness in side the trunk lid left hinge and found a bunch of frayed and severed wires. I bought some shrink wrap and fixed all the wires. Everything works except the left license plate bulb and the dash I Drive message is still there. Has anyone had this same issue and has resolved it?
Have you checked to make sure you are getting power to that plate bulb holder with the lights on? If not they you still may have a broken wire some where. If you do have power check the bulb holder for issues.
