LEDs don’t work.

    I changed the license plate bulbs to LEDs on a 2006 325i and now the light out warning is on, I switch back to stock bulbs and the warning light is off. Bummed out.

    Yes when ever you replace a halogen bulb with LEDS a resistor will need to be installed to trick the car into thinking there is a bulb in there. There are aftermarket companies that make a plug and play license plate light kit with a resistor built in.

    I switched to Zika brand and now no bulb out warning.
