    Greetings All!
After being told by my local favorite oil change shop that "no way is 9.5 liters of engine oil draining out" of my 2008 E92 M3, I finally got the car up in the air to inspect. With 128,456 miles on the clock, it seems that a pretty good oil leak is occurring from my S65's engine valve covers.
    My question is this:
1). Does the large plastic air intake on top of the engine have to come off?(other than the oil separator on each valve cover, I can access all the bolts for v/c removal).

Any other "watch-outs" during the v/c gaskets removal/replacements? Going back up with BMW OEM c/c gaskets b/c I saw that they are make of Viton. Also changing spark plugs & spark plug tubes.

    Thank You!
