What type of brake fluid?

2011 328i x-drive, 117,000 miles. Trying to flush the brake fluid, but the text on top of the brake fluid reservoir is not legible. So of course I go to the owner's manual which DOES NOT indicate what type of brake fluid to use. I cannot seem to easily locate a reference for brake fluid type on this car. Can anyone provide a BMW reference for this? Thanks.

Use Dot 4 LV. The genuine BMW fluid is reputed to be quite good and reasonably priced.
