Considering it. Interesting, this is an almost all BMW event with thousands of attendees, yet the intersection of interest between Bimmerfest attendees and the BMW CCA seems very small. Why would that be?
Speaking as a member... IMHO, somewhat of a generational divide and narrow mindedness. The thought that someone may want to individualize his/her own car that differs from someone else. Shocking, I know. National Capital Chapter will be representing the Club. Be sure to stop by.
Well, that's interesting. I see a number of the "other" BMW forums talking about convoys and meet ups and group drives to get to Bimmerfest, which looks like a fun way to get there. But not so much here. Seems to me that generational thing is something we need to think about as the younger ones are the future of this group. We might consider what this group will look in 20 year. if BMWCCA and the way we think/do things is something they never adopt, will BMWCCA still exist? Maybe we need to look at thing differently. I'm thinking I will try to get to this event if I can keep the date clear.
Each forum has it's own flavor. I went to Bimmerfest in CA a few years ago and enjoyed it. Nice to see enthusiasts enjoying their cars. I can probably find several threads here by members making fun of others for doing things to their cars and their lies the problem. Unfortunately there are chapters with the same mindset. Not everyone want to track, autocross or restore 20 year old cars. Why did you post in the Tidewater section if you are in DelVal?
Why did you post in the Tidewater section if you are in DelVal? Because that's where the Bimmerfest topic was when I went to look at "what's new" link.
