I was gonna put this in racing, but thought better of it.... Matt http://jalopnik.com/383750/nick-hei...-do-while-demonstrating-the-bmw-sauber-f1-car
That was not bad at all. (at least it wasn't as bad as what I thought would happen). The whole time I was nervous just waiting for the car to loose control and take out half the crowd.
He got pretty close in the first spin... But you're right... I should have titled the thread "Minor Oops" Actually, this could make a good Southwest add..... About when you want to be someplace else. But still, a minor oops in an F1 car is gonna be $10k-$20k to fix.... Matt
That event probably would not be allowed on a manufacturing site in the U.S., with all the safety and legal concerns we have here. The crowd was not very well protected and they were very close to the car.
If I remember correctly, a rear spoiler costs about $20k. Would the price for the front be similar? That would be a nice large portion of a "reg'lar folk's" paycheck... $20k to the drivers is pocket change.
+1. I was waiting for the same thing to happen! Just an easy switch of the front.. but still sucks it happened in front of a HUGE crowd!
