planning to go to my first grand prix in montreal this year,,,any help would be appreciated re:seating, lodging, etc. etc. etc,,,,attempting 3 day race tic..
I just booked my trip to Montreal. I ended up buying seats for the hairpin, section 24, three days. I would suggest watching YouTube videos from the track from different grandstands. Many people like grandstand 12 since you can see the start/finish line and the run into the first corner. There are a lot of trees around so make sure you can see enough from where you will sit. In all forums I read people said you should not buy general admission tickets as you can't see much. I bought the race tickets directly from admission.com, it is cheaper than on the official F1 website. There is a pit walk on Thursday morning, free to spectators with tickets, which allows access to the pit lane. Websites like f1Fanatic.co.uk have good discussions on attending the race, hotels, etc... Hotels are expensive, but a good number of them is across the river from the circuit, short ride by metro, in the old town area.
