Just got back from a 2 day DE at Barber with Heart of Dixie.
This was my 2nd time there.
Anyone who has never been there has probably heard how nice the facility is, but the track is just awesome!
Very technical, busy and rewarding. It's not a HP track.

It was tough on my brakes. Short straights don't allow for a lot of cooling.
If I was doing 5 days, I would start with new pads and maybe even bleed brake fluid after a couple days.

This past weekend (Memorial Day Weekend) was hot.
    October should be ideal.

Barber is a gorgeous park. I visited the Vintage Motorsports Museum in March, and got to see some cars on the track. It'll be nice to see it 'from the other side'. :)

Very fun track...Been there x 3... I haven't seen extraordinary wear there but I think I am not hard on brakes. Looking forward to returning..

If it's your first time to Barber.. budget at least 2 hours for the museum one day, and LONGER if you are actually a motorcycle fan.

I believe I may have been having brake cooling issues.
My brake duct hoses were crushed from a previous repair.
That and it being in the mid 90s all weekend. Plus (4) 1/2 hr run sessions.
Spent today replacing my brake duct hoses.

    So I hear. :p
I'll be sure to remember that this week at VIR. :)
