Rocky Mountain Chapter High Plains Raceway Driving School May 21st 2011 Byers, Colorado http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.104586939632234.10056.100002427858449&l=e9c75154dd http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.104577199633208.10034.100002427858449&l=16efb2caae
The track it is the same elevation from the track entrance to about turn 3. The long straight away from 3 to 4 it drops maybe 5 feet on elevation. From 4 to 6 there is a slight increase in elevation. After the apex of turn 6 it goes about 15/20 feet down hill through turn 11 and it raises another back through the last turn of the track. I was working corners 1 and 3 and from there I could barely see corner 7 and I couldn't see corners 9 through 13 because of the dip in elevation. And yes I saw a couple cars run off track a good distance.
An awesome track 70 feet of elevation changes. The track's history is also fascinating. http://www.highplainsraceway.com/history.html
