We have a 2006 X3 without Nav. We installed an aux in, it seemed to work just fine, but it cuts out after a time as thought the head unit does not know it is there. All of the connections are correct and there are no loose contacts. Has anyone experienced the same and/or know of a solution?
I believe you need to connect the ground actually to ground - or something like that. There's a thread on bimmerfest or bimmerforums about this problem; probably can find it easily by searching there.
