I found a 140 mph speedo gauge cluster the other day. Trouble is, when i installed it in my '83 320i, the speedo reading is WAY (125 mph at 60) off, anybody else done this conversion? Any ideas what changes i have to make to get the speedo to rear the correct speed?

It could be problem with the speedo head or cable not turning freely, or it might be calibrated for a different ratio'd differential. That was the case for the 2002 mechanical speedos.
You could send it off to North Hollywood or Palo Alto to have it recalibration to your diff.

    You have a 320i. You don't need a 140 mph speedometer ... ;)

OTOH, there's something very cool about being able to 'bury' it.
