My wife managed to get a hole poked through the right taillight. I plan to replace it myself but in looking at it, it is not immediately obvious how to access the attachment screws. I presume they are under the black trim panel adjacent to the lens visible with the tailgate up, but I am not sure how to remove that panel - I don't want to just start yanking on it for fear of breaking that as well. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks
Not familiar with this car, but I doubt you access it from the part that is hidden by the tailgate. Most likely it is accessed through the passenger compartment. Does your owners manual show how to change a rear light bulb? If so it should get you in the right direction. Here is a diagram, but not very helpful. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=PA93&mospid=47794&btnr=63_0827&hg=63&fg=20 I just did a quick search and it looks like Bentley has not made a manual yet for your car.
Thanks Grant. I just received the replacement part and it is apparent that my assessment was incorrect and access must be through the passenger compartment as you suggested. I confess I didn't even consider looking in the owners manual erroneously reasoning I wouldn't find how to fix anything THERE! Yes sadly, no Bentley yet. Richard
