My new 335ix finally arrived. The front license tag appears to be glued on. Any suggestions for removing it without damaging the paint?

Get out a hair dryer and heat up the adhesive, being careful not to aim too much heat at the paint itself.

This should soften the double sided tape and the adhesive enough to make it possible to gently peel up.

Take care not to gouge the warm paint as the plate comes off.

    :)

Or you could leave it on to commemorate the trip...

    License tag

    Thanks Dave,
I have purchased a tag holder for it and want to mount it permanently to commemorate the trip, along with the Nurburgring decal on the the rear bumper. What a blast the trip was.

I get it. The 3M tape is not a permanent solution.

I was thinking about seeing how long the tape will last
vs. drilling the holes in the bumper cover to mount the Euro plate.

Which Euro Plate mount did you get?
The "universal" one I got from Bavarian Autosport seems pretty nice.

How many Ring laps did you do?
Any pix of your trip online?

Dave, I got mine from Europeanplates.com.

I was afraid the glue would give up and the plate fly off.

We did 2 laps. I was slow but scared the hell out of the other couple.

    Still, what a thrill.

There is nothing else in the world like the Nordschleife.
Glad you had fun and kept it in one piece.

Post a picture when you get that plate on there, if you would.
