somehow when I changed the time for daylight savings I inadvertently turned on some kind of hourly alarm. every hour at what ever time and 59 minutes I get a triple chime. at first I thought it was some kind of error chime. but I could find no error codes and the chime is in a different tone than a warning is. then I noticed it was doing it hourly. anyone know the purpose of this or how I can turn it off? this is on my '93 525iT.

    thanks!

the disply on my E34's obc is screwed up and doesn't really show the hourly chime icon, but I think if you hit the set/reset button once while the clock is showing, it will turn it off. Whichever button it is, you just have to hit it once (and the icon should no longer be appearing).

15 seconds before the hour you will get the chime until you turn it off. Just press the S/R button while the clock is showing and this should disable it.
