We have nothing set yet, although with the choices available we can throw together just about anything that interests you. Want to go fishing for tiger muskie? Walk the prehistoric path of the Mohawk River? Do a driving tour of the area where the Battle of Saratoga took place? Visit the 9/11 exhibit at the state museum? We are up for whatever folks are interested in.

Vintage at Saratoga is now recognized as a BMW CCA "Regional Event". Look for our ad in upcoming Roundel issues. Register soon and then add your name to the list of "Who's Attending".http://vintageatsaratoga.com/

A little more than one month to go!

If you are considering booking a room at the host hotel for the Patroon Chapter's Vintage at Saratoga on July 17th and 18th, please do so by June 15th. The Malta Fairfield Inn will be releasing our block of unused rooms to the public on June 16th. After that point they may be able to offer our reduced room rate if you mention the BMW club, but will not be able to guarantee we have rooms available.

We have some great cars lined up, some nice raffle prizes ready to be won, and some of the most interesting people in the northeast getting together to share amazing tales of adventure over thier favorite beverages, so come and be part of the group!

Just a few more days until Vintage at Saratoga

It is going to be a beautiful weekend in Saratoga NY! On Saturday, we will be leaving the Saratoga Auto Museum at 1:30 PM for a vintage drive along the Hudson River and into the Southern Adirondacks. At 5:30, people registered for Sunday's show will leave the Saratoga Auto Museum and drive into downtown Saratoga for a meet and greet at The Parting Glass. Non-registrants are invited to join us for dinner at a cost of $20, or just show up and share a beverage with us. Please contact Frank Greppo at fgreppo@nycap.rr.com if you are planning on joining us for dinner.

On Sunday morning we return to the Saratoga Auto Museum for the lawn show. The event runs from 10:00 until 3:00, and will feature cars and owners from Virginia to Canada to Maine and a silent auction to benefit the BMW Foundation. Coffee and donuts will be available before the show and a food vendor will be on site for lunch. Please consider joining us for our first BMW Vintage at Saratoga! Contact me at StowellBMW@aol.com with any questions you may have.

A big thank you to all the folks who made Vintage @ Saratoga a resounding success during our first year! Kudos to:

Frank Greppo - the driving force behind getting this event planned and implemented
John Sullivan - for presenting our event to the board and getting us regional event status
Scott Sturdy - for providing the support and guidance gained from his Vintage at the Vineyards event

Of course, it would not have been anything but a couple Patroon member cars in the parking lot if not for all the participants who spent valuable time and money to bring in their shining examples of what vintage BMW is. We truly appreciate your presence and enjoyed spending the weekend with you!

Now for the numbers - 55 cars registered, 200 plus people attending the show, and $652 raised for the BMW Foundation. Over the next few weeks we will be reaching out for your input on what worked and what didn't so we can make next years event even better. If you would like to post feedback here, I will make sure it gets back to the committee. Again, thank you to everyone who supported the Patroon Chapter and we will look forward to getting to an event in your area soon!
