Hi...I've noticed that this forum moves a bit slower than BimmerForums.com but also noticed that many of the same questions arise. :D For the benefit of the members here, would it be possible to create a separate e39 DIY subforum or permanent link (to this site perhaps) for the benefit of our forum members? http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=884748

FYI, I thought I'd share because I watched my Bro take a disorganized DIY section at BF.c and within a relatively short amount of time, create a very usable and informative DIY subforum that has been invaluble for many of us e39er's. As you can see from the link, it would help many of the members on this site as well (which is a paid member site I might add) and give us all more insight to the inner workings of our Ultimate Driving Machines. ;)

I hope you find this info helpful to BMWCCA and the membership community here at the e39 Forum...thanks for your time. Peace...

Thanks but my y/m isn't even covered so what is anyone with a 5er built before 2001 gonna do???

It might make a decent supplement but idt that there is another forum with as dedicated a DIY section for the 5-series as at BF.c...go there and browse around, you'll see what I mean. ;)

You've managed to confuse me. The Yahoo group page states the following:
So why is your year/model not covered?

I suppose I draw a distinction between useful information disseminated in a civil manner without the static and a free-for-all forum where many just like to raise their post count. Call me old-fashioned. :)

As you can see from the message history, there isn't a single post for the 2000 or earlier y/m's so it wouldn't do us much good...eh? ;) I do see how it could be relavent for those with 2001 or later models though...thanks!

 You're not serious, are you? The quoted message history is a record of posts to the Yahoo group by year and month, not production year and month of the car being discussed.

Seen any 2009 model year E39s recently??

I don''t know whether to laugh or cry.

Burned my last brain cell I guess...

YIKES...thanks for pointing that out. I just plain wasn't paying attention seeing as how the e39 produciton year ends at 2004...BIG DOH! At least I didn't start my engine in the middle of an oil change...LMAO! I SWEAR I'm usually more alert...

I think you should enjoy it and laugh until you cry...can I completely delete my self?!?
