Nope. I sprayed cone-repellant on my car prior to my runs. :D

I have not had a chance at a autocross yet. Is it hard to find the line? As in follow where the cones are taking you? Guess I need to try it and find out for myself...

It can be easy or it can be hard. Even after years of autocross, you can sometimes come upon a 'Sea of Cones' course from an overzealous course designer that confounds (and ****es off) everyone who runs it. Then, some days, your head's just not in it and you can DNF several times in a row at the same spot. Don't let one or two bad experiences turn you off on it. If you enjoy running most of the time, stick with it. More experience gives you more credibility when you do bitch about a poor course.

EDIT: Well, **** me! If you type '****', it autocensors it! :D

What you should do when at an autocross is to walk the track many times until you can memorize it. Take the first run, and first run only, to take it at a cautious speed so you can reinforce what you memorized and to know what speed you should be going through each section. The rest of the runs should be the actual runs you take.

It teaches you a lot about your car and is the best way to spend ~$40 in my opinion.

I thought it was funny that I won my class at my first auto-x AND that I was placed in a higher class than I should have been in... lol

ok, I'll start this by a definite admission that you were out there putting your car through it's paces while I was probably lounging around somewhere, but...

... how many cars were in the class?

I know I'm mean, but that's just me, eh

and the pics do look cool!

There were about 4 cars in that class including an MR2 and a Prelude (I think it's the one with a ridiculous turbo on it [the wheels vibrated/shuddered in the middle of a corner under acceleration!).

OOOOO thanks Matt! It completely escaped me to look on the FCSCC website.

No, the results you posted are for the May 31 event.
So, I just looked on the May 10th event (my first event) and the amount of people in the group were a little different than I remembered. There were actually three people that I "competed" against, not 4. My bad.

But, the above pics were taken from the May 31st event. Too bad I never won anything after the 11th. lol

Nice. You have race tires though, don't you?
I have a set in 205-50-15 size, if you need some... I need to get rid of 'em. :)

Yes, Hoosier Racing Tires. I have four "lightly" used Hoosiers I need to sell (225-45/15 Hoosier A6s, $100 plus shipping).

    What are your tires?
