Scott, Would the judging be affected by me replacing window regulators? I'm going to pick up both window regulators (I think) from my mechanic that morning at 6.30, and won't have time to install them until after I get to the event. I want to spend a little time spiffing the car up for judging, but will have to replace the regulators during the time they're making their runs otherwise my car will be TOASTING hot. Would it be a huge problem if I started the job and they got to my car to judge? I have to do both, so I currently have no windows that roll down. No working AC, either. (Desperate times call for desparate measures!)
Wasn't it you who had to pull and repair your seat at the Mercedes show we crashed last year? And wasn't it you who assisted the M5 with his tire change at our Drive and Dine in Poughkeepsie? Shouldn't effect judging at all, especially knowing your long and storied history of being the the savior mechanic when needed!
lol I wouldn't consider myself a mechanic by a long shot, and I actually forgot about those incidents! I'll hold you to that Scott; I won't roast for nothing! (Even though CHRIS STILL OWES ME A DETAIL!)
B, I'll help you with the dash and stuff. I finally removed my front NY plate from my bumper and put it on my dash, just liike my E28 has it. Euro plate looks nice up front alone.
B, you should put your S50 in the trunk and enter your car as Modified/Tuner. Just say that the S50 powers the rear wheels from the trunk.
I just had to throw that one out . Steve, see you tomorrow morning at Dunkin D's by the NYS Thruway across from the Newburgh Mall at 7. Hopefully we will arrive a bit before then. I'll try to wash my E39 around 6 since its raining and the car is dirty outside
I've been working on the detail job all week. I'm just hoping the rain stops before I hit the road in the morning.
The rain is supposed to stop later on tonight (slight drizzle now). I'll get up around 5:30 and wash the car.
...sky's clear, sun's out, the road is drying and I'll be underway in about a 1/2 hour for a 0900 arrival
Thank you A big thank you to all the participants who made this event! There were some seriously detailed cars this year, and the amazing thing is all were driven to the event, and are driven throughout the week. Beverly and I look forward to visiting the Ct Valley event next Sunday!
Made it home without incident unless you count the several thousand nocturnal insects that committed suicide on my vehicle. I almost couldn't see through the windshield by the time I got home! Anyway... Excellent event, thank you to all who made it happen!!!
You'd swear that they were kamikazes. All the windshield washer fluid in the world couldn't get them buggers off, and with a single highbeam working, and really dark twisties on the way to RT-8, it made for a very interesting, yet very fun drive home. The result was me not passing out/falling asleep.
