How many times do I have to say it, THE CAR LOCKED ITSELF AFTER I CLOSED THE DOOR!!!!! Jeez... ONE little fumble with an aftermarket keyless entry system and nobody will ever let ya live it down...
I didn't even realize that there is a forum here until yesterday. Still up in the air for 4/25. Hopefully I can do it.
I may be interested in a road trip. Have you gone in the past? I'm not really looking to "show" my car. I don't think there would be much hype about a stock e92.
I went last year and it was fun. Got to meet new people, new bimmers, etc... Its worth the trip and you can enter your car in alot of catagories such as "just for show" or clean car, dirty dog, etc... Or you can not enter your car at all and just drool over other rare bimmers.
This show is all about CCA members and their cars. We are not looking for show stoppers, (although we have had many join us in the past) just folks who enjoy the marque. There are several members who enter their E92, and it would be nice to have another for folks to look over. This event often serves as a chance for individuals to set their sights on their next purchase in many cases. I purchased our '83 635 based on seeing and sitting in some brought in by fellow members a couple of years ago.
Good job, men. You sold me. Outlook for the trip is good. I'll be forfeiting a round of golf for this, Chris. The ultimate sacrifice.
Hey Scott, could you post the basic itinerary for this event. I think I saw a post that axed the Saratoga Auto Museum tour. And there are 2 options for the transit from Keeler to Skidmore. Are these actually TSD rallies that require a navigator/timekeeper or are they just organized (maybe scenic) transits to the final location Thanks
The latter. Last year we just took a little Bimmer caravan to Saratoga. It was about a 40-minute drive if I remember correctly, and was a rather nice drive, though we did have to stop several times so that the rest of the caravan could show up...
The rallies heading out of Keeler at 2:00 are actually better defined as drives.... one for the heavy of foot (although all posted speed limits will be observed ) and the other for those lacking horsepower or a death wish. 8:30 to 10:00 Registration 10:00 to 12:00 Judging 12:00 to 1:30 Lunch, mingle, Dent Wizard, run through the sprinklers and such 2:00 to 4:00 Drive to Saratoga 4:00 to 5:00 Drinks and appetizers at Skidmore College 5:00 to 7:00 Dinner and awards at Skidmore College 7:00 to ??? Invade downtown Saratoga Springs
