Unfortunately my 1988 325is has developed rust above the rear license plate where the lights are mounted. Besides this the car is rust-free. Does anyone have any recommendations for a body shop in the Syracuse area? Thanks

Sorry to hear about the rust. That is probably the most common spot to rust on e30s. It is a real shame b/c other wise they hold up well if taken care of.

I use to live in Rochester, NY, I never had to have body work done, but the shop I used was Eksten Autoworks. They just won the Targa of Newfoundland and are in Jan Roundel. Give them a call, I am sure the can recommend someone for you or they might even be able to do it. Their number is 585-621-8200. I was always very pleased with their service and work.
