Yeah, the $88 wheels on TR are the Sport Edition F5 and I've been considering those. I don't think they look too bad on the E30 (on their viewer). I'm just not sure I want to put out another $400 right now. I'll make up my mind when I actually purchase the 15" tires tomorrow. I also checked into the E30 M3 OEs and did find that they're 5-lug.

But aren't there other OE 15" wheels (4-lug) that aren't basketweaves that are available in NA for the E30?

The only 15" E30 wheels that came from BMW in NA were M3, which are 5 lug, and ix, which have the wrong offset (you can use them, but IIRC, you have to roll the fenders.) Anything else was either aftermarket or special order from Germany. There are these:
    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=1113&mospid=47309&btnr=36_0051&hg=36&fg=15

which I have never seen before in my life, but they have a prt number, so they exist. Then there are various offset 14 and 15" basketweaves and metric bottlecaps, though we didn't get those or the 15" basketweaves here normally.

That auction just has the wrong picture. That is a 14" basketweave from an E30 is.

Oy, Paul, here's an E30 with those wheels that you've never before seen in your life:

This is the first time I've ever seen it as well!

I wasn't saying "OOooooooo what a great E30! It's just the way I like it!", I was just pointing out the wheels that apparently nobody has seen before. :p

Did you read the auction? Those are claims he made, if you can believe that.

    I'm surprised he didn't say it had a "V6".

These were optional equipment in the early 90s. I think for the cabrios. They are really rare and hard to come by. I don't think you can even get them from BMW any more. Now don't confuse yourself with 5 lug versions of these. B/C there are 5 lugs out there for the E36.
