Just got my 1200 mile service done on a 6 speed manual tranmission

Service advisor said that the only thing required is the oil and differential (gear oil) change.

Can anyone confirm that the transmission fluid on a 2008 model doesn't need to be changed?

1200 Mile Service at Sterling BMW

I had my 1200 service done at Sterling BMW:

    a. Performed 1200 Mile Service

    b. Performed Engine Oil Service

    c. Performed Service--Standard Scope

    d. Performed 6 Speed Manual Transmission Service

    e. Performed 0000661 Rear Diff. Service

So Yes, you should have had the tranny done too!

My SA is Chris Zappia...awesome guy!!!

Same as above... All oils were changed on my 1200 Run-in Service as it's called.

Just read recently my 09 e92 M car manual and it states DCT doesnt require transmission oil change at their 1200 service, seems like 6MT are the only one that does

My 1200 mile service on my e90 M3 6MT is coming up this Wednesday. Need to drop about 300 miles on it to get it in the 1100+ range before then. Thanks for posting, great to know exactly what to expect!
