Brian, you might want to skip the tire-shine for your track event. Not worth the risk of sliding around on the track cause your tires either rolled-over enough to hit what you got all slicked up, or it spreads from some rain or a puddle, etc. Not suggesting you scrub it all off in a frenzy if those are to be track tires, but wipe it off well at least before hitting the track.
I replaced rear mounts with upgraded E46 rubber ones and added the Z3 reinforcements. Front mounts I just reconditioned (cleaned and regreased) since they were still in good shape. Thanks for the tip. I never even thought about the effect of shine goop. There is not very much; I don't apply often (last time was August) and wipe it down before I drive, but I will ensure there is little as possible on the tires before hitting the track.
