Driving School at National Corvette Motorsport Park

May 16, 2015 to May 17, 2015
The Bluegrass Bimmers Chapter welcomes members to our second annual Driving School event at the brand new National Corvette Museum Motorsport Park, where we will be driving the "Grand Full Course" (a 23 turn, 3.2 mile configuration of the circuit). Students will undergo a mixture of classroom and behind-the-wheel education under the supervision of trained instructors. The course will cover vehicle dynamics, vehicle limits and limitations, driving line principles, and track safety. Cars must undergo technical and safety inspections prior to coming to the event. Helmets are required (Snell 2005 or newer), and a limited number of loaner helmets are available. • The cost for this event is $495 for both Saturday and Sunday. A discount is available for registrations through March 1 for the reduced price of $475. No single day registration will be available. Spaces are limited! • We are offering an "A-Solo" run group this year. These selected advanced students will have the option of not having an instructor in the car and not attend the classroom sessions. To qualify, the Chapter's Chief Instructor and Driving Events Committee will review the student's driving resume as noted on MotorsportReg; for full details, see the event website. • A Track Orientation Day is scheduled for Friday, May 15th. It is available for all instructors and qualified students, by invitation, for an additional cost of $175 for students. Students interested in being considered for attendance should check the appropriate box on the application form. We will contact you after evaluating your previous experience to inform you if you have been accepted. Completeness of past driving history listed on your MSR account is essential. The Chapter has full discretion on acceptance of the candidate's credentials.
