Autocross #5 at Mineral Wells

The Lone Star Chapter of the BMW CCA invites you to join us at Autocross #5 at Mineral Wells Airpark. Even if you've never autocrossed before, come on out at give it a try. Instructors are provided for novices, and people wanting to try the sport. Rides in instructor vehicles are free. A helmet must be worn by all participants. There are a limited number of loaner helmets available for those that do not own their own helmet (must be rated M-2005 or SA-2005 or newer). More information can be found on the LSC BMWCCA web site, and if you want to drive in the event you must register. The cost is $30. Online registration is available until 6 p.m. the Friday before each event. We will also accept credit card payment on site. Note that the total cost for on site payment is $40. Tech Inspection: All participant vehicles must pass Tech Inspection on site. Tech Inspection begins at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 9:00 a.m. Novice Meeting: You must attend this meeting if this is your first time out with our club. Novice meeting starts at 8:30 and is followed by a course walk. Worker Assignment: All participants are required to work during runs when they are not driving. The assignments will be posted on the club van before the meetings. Mandatory Driver's meeting at 9:10 a.m. First car is planned to start at 9:30 a.m. We will have 5 runs in the morning heat, and 5 runs in the afternoon heat. 10 total runs per driver! After the morning runs we will take a 45 minute lunch break, during which time we will provide grilled hot dogs (weather permitting).
