Simeone Automotive Museum & Philly Cheesesteaks

July 25, 2015
We will visit the Simeone Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. The museum contains over 60 of the rarest and most significant racing sports cars ever built. Every fourth Saturday the museum has a "Demo Day". The Demo Days, which began in 2009, feature extremely rare racing sports cars from the Simeone collection being driven on the three-acre lot in back of the Museum. A brief lecture by Dr. Simeone on the importance of the cars and their place in history precedes each driving demonstration. • On the day we will visit they will have have the Briggs Cunningham collection out for the Demo Day. Visit their website for more information. http://www.simeonemuseum.org. • For our cheesesteaks we will stop by Dalessandro's Steaks. • After visiting Simeon and Dalessandro's, take a visit to Reading Terminal Market for Bassett's Ice Cream or Penns Landing or the steps at Museum of Art. Plenty of things to do in Philly. • We will depart the Cracker Barrel at 1440 Handlir Drive Bel Air, Maryland 21015 at 8:30 a.m. • Algie and members will be at the Cracker Barrel at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast. It is highly recommended to eat before we leave. • See everyone on July 25. Don't forget the EZ-Pass!
