Skamania Lodge Tour

The tour starts at the Wood Village Fred Meyer parking lot (22855 NE Park Lane, Wood Village). Meet us at 9:00 a.m. Our first stop is at the Portland Women’s Forum State Scenic Viewpoint where we have our first look at the scenic Columbia River Gorge. Our next stop is Vista House on Crown Point. The view of the gorge is fantastic! Walking thru the Vista House will give us a better appreciation of the accomplishments achieved by the early settlers. Going up to the top floor gives us the best view of the gorge and Columbia River. After driving further along the historic highway, our third stop is at Bridal Veil State Park where we will enjoy walking on trails to learn about the history of the gorge and see Bridal Veil Falls. Continuing our drive on the historic highway, we will pass well known landmarks such as Wahkeena Falls and Multnomah Falls. A short stint on I-84 takes us to the Bridge of the Gods, built in 1926, which takes us to Hwy 14 in Washington. Our final destination is Skamania Lodge, where we will enjoy lunch in the Cascade Dining Room. The chef has put together a special menu for our group. After lunch, we have an opportunity to park our cars in front of the lodge for awesome pictures. What an enjoyable tour we have designed for you. Please register for this event now. See you there!
