This is an E53 (first) generation X5 3.0i, with a rare 5-speed manual transmission. Fortunately, it does NOT have the Sport Package -- as most manual-tranny X5s had. (Most people find the X5s with Sport Package to be uncomfortably stiff.) Premium Package; rear HVAC control. Excellent condition inside and outside: no dents, dings, or scratches; recently fully detailed. Has spent only one (few-miles) winter in Chicago. I purchased it one year ago (@69K miles) from the original owner, who lived outside Charlotte, NC. Since then, I have replaced all fluids (with Red Line and Castrol synthetics), filters, spark plugs, belts, pulleys, radiator hoses, battery, and brake pads. Bilstein HD shocks and new tension-strut control arms were installed last month. Water pump and thermostat recently replaced. New CocoMats and trunk liner. Vehicle is equipped with a Class 3 towing hitch, although it has never been used for towing. (Hitch was installed for use with a bike rack.) If you are looking for a pristine, fully sorted, no-excuses X5 with a manual tranny and the more reliable and less-expensive-to-maintain in-line six-cylinder engine (rather than a V-8 engine), please call me for more information or to arrange an inspection and test drive. To answer the obvious question as to why I am selling this after such a short time and despite the extensive efforts and expenditures, I have purchased an E61 530xiT (with a manual tranny, of course) as a replacement vehicle.
