For Sale 95 BMW M3, 5 Speed Manual, Dakar Yellow on Black Vaders, First OBD 1 AA Supercharged, Excellent Condition
Asking $14,00 obo
Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico
I have owned this M3 since 2002, when the car had 72,000 miles. Current mileage is 130,000. I have the clear title, and the car has a clean Carfax. It is the first Active Autowerk OBD 1 supercharged M3 in the country. The supercharger was installed at Active Autowerks in Miami FL, and software tuning was done at that time. The supercharger, which is a Rotrex unit, includes an intercooler for the intake as well as an oil cooler for the supercharger. Car is making about 360 HP at the crank.
From AA's tuning of my car:
Stock was 195.4 WHP and 197.4 Ft/Lbs
Supercharged is 183.5 WHP and 245.1 Ft/Lbs
Gains of 88.1 WHP and 47.7 Ft/Lbs
Car has been maintained extremely well, with only Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic being used for 5-7k oil changes. The supercharger has been installed since 2003, when the car had 87,000 miles. Have a folder with all documentation and service records. For the last several years the car has been my third car, the other two being BMWs, and has not had too many miles put on. I am selling due to the recent purchase of a 4 door e90 M3.
Has been always been garaged, and washed and waxed regularly. Car was repainted prior to my purchasing it in 2002. The car had a full respray due to paint fading due to lack of clear coat on all 95 Dakar yellow cars. BMW released Dakar II the next year which had a clear coat. The front drivers fender had been replaced prior to the respray. All other panels are original, and have BMW VIN stickers. The interior is in excellent condition, with some leather wear on the front seats, rear seats look almost brand new. Has folding rear seats, which is a real plus. AC blows very cold. Front tires have lots of tread left, rears are more worn, and should be replaced soon. Windshield has a crack that can be seen in the pictures.
In 2000, the car had the engine replaced with a remanufactured engine from BMW. All work was done at Sandia BMW, and cost over $11,000. The engine replacement was due to no compression in cylinder 6.
